Description

Jan Masaoka, CEO of the California Association of Nonprofits and author of Blue Avocado magazine, will talk with KPCC’s Matt DeBord on the afternoon of Thursday, May 10th about the status of California’s nonprofit sector. After three months on the road visiting 501c3s statewide, Jan is ready to broach the difficult and seldom-addressed issues and challenges facing them. Matt and Jan will be joined by special guests who will offer their insights on the impact of the current economic and political landscape on the future of our nonprofit organizations.

Panel guests will include Paul Castro (chief executive officer, Jewish Family Service), Margaret Martinez (executive director, Community Health Alliance of Pasadena), Latonya Slack (senior program officer, James Irvine Foundation), and Scott Ward (executive director, Armory Center for the Arts).
