Wednesday, October 30 2019 7:30 PM 9:00 PM

KPCC In Person and “The Frame” invite you to join us for an evening with comedian Cristela Alonzo. She’ll share comedy inspired by her new memoir, in which she reflects on being a first-generation American, universal health care, and her recent diabetes diagnosis. Following her set, she’ll sit down for a conversation with John Horn.

Alonzo was the first Latina to create, write, and star in a network sitcom (the eponymous “Cristela”), as well as the first Latina featured in a Disney Pixar movie (“Cars 3”). She is also an outspoken advocate on issues impacting lower-income communities.
Presented in partnership with Scripps Presents and the Claremont Colleges’ Chicano Latino Student Association.
